Are you going to Heaven?

John 3:3 Jesus declare, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."

You do not get to heaven by:

being baptized
going to church or being religious
doing good deeds, or being a good person
You cannot earn your way to Heaven by works (doing good)

Ephesians 2:8-9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.

4 STEPS TO BECOME BORN AGAIN (SAVED)

1. Recognize you are a sinner.

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
1 John 1:8 "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us."
2. Repentance - turn away from your sin, be sorry, willingness to change.

1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

3. Belief - in God / in Jesus Christ His son / that Jesus died for our sins / that he rose from the dead.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 14:6 Jesus answered "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
It is not enough to believe! If it were, the satan would go to Heaven.

James 2:19 "You believe there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that - and shudder."

4. Receive Jesus as your savior.

John 1:12 "Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God..."
Revelation 3:20 "Here I am!I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me."
You must receive Him. Open the door to your heart and invite Him in.

Romans 10:9-10 "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

Repeat the following prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus, I realize that I'm a sinner, and I need to be saved from my sins. I ask for your forgiveness Lord. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins. I open the door to my heart. I accept you as my savoir, and I trust you as my Lord. Come into my heart, and make me the kind of person that you want me to be. Thank you for saving me. Amen.

Begin reading your Bible each day (use a translation you can understand like the New International version, or the American Standard, & I suggest you start with the gospel of John) pray daily (talk to God) attend church where the word of God is preached and fellowship with other Christians.
